Description
The devastating Waldo Canyon fire filled the sky with thick smoke, diffused the light, and gave us this orange sun over 11-mile Reservoir State Park in Park County, The Pikes Peak Region, Colorado. Notice the small fishing boat.

Looks very peaceful and makes a great wall decor, despite all the drama ;) Loved it!

Thank you, Bijan, as always, for your graciousness and continued interest, and interesting replies to replies,lolllll..........I'm warm, cozy, for this, our winter, yes. We are at sea level in Sydney, and mostly the snows fall upon the big mountain ranges west of here, and there is a really good skiing season. Heard about your heat: same in Europe,too...I recall such times in summer in NYC...breathless! A pleasure to count on your photography for amazing natural moments - not my privilege to experience - all the more exciting. Wishing you well. VIVA

Amazing, Bijan.....so well presented, this awful dramatic moment, and to think someone's fishing throughout it all. Thanks for sharing, reminding, Kudos........fv.......VIVA

Hello, beautiful Viva. How are you, dear? I hope you're staying warm and cozy at the beginning of your Winter. Is there any snow on the ground? Does it ever snow in your town? It's been quite hot around here : 90 degrees Fahrenheit in the lower elevations, 70s and 80s in the mountain towns. Thank you kindly for stopping by my gallery. You make my day, my lady.
