I thank you, beautiful Eva Maria. You're such a gentle soul, my lady. Unforgettable moments like this happen no more than once in a lifetime. That's what excites me about nature photography, recording a unique moment that will never happen again in the whole history of the world and then sharing it with everybody.

Chava Silverman
Very beautiful, Bijan! There is no light without the darkness. We need both to be truly human, I suppose.
Bijan Pirnia replied:
Your supposition is right on, my dear Chava. It would be prosaic to mention that duality is woven into the fabric of reality. We cannot have things without their opposites. I often think of a Chinese proverb which goes something like this : GEM CANNOT BE POLISHED WITHOUT FRICTION NOR MAN PERFECTED WITHOUT TRIALS. The world-renowned Lebanese-American poet Khalil Gibran echoed the same universal truth when he wrote, "THE MORE SORROW CARVES INTO YOUR SOUL, THE MORE JOY YOU CAN CONTAIN."
VIVA Anderson
