historic Gold Camp Road winds its way through Pike National Forest in the Pikes Peak region of Colorado. Gold Camp Road used to be a railroad that connected Colorado Springs to the Victor / Cripple Creek gold mining district around the turn of the century. In 1924, it was made into an auto road.
