It has been difficult for humanity to accept the truth of such unsettling profundity. But I believe we've reached a tipping point where I only choice is to do so. Thanks for the great quote from Mr. Solzhenitsyn.
Bijan Pirnia replied:

I can't get past Alexander Solzhenitsyn. He is a great writer, has written wonderful books, I bow before him and his memory✨
Bijan Pirnia replied:
I'm totally with you on that, my dear brother. If only we could see that the line between good and evil runs through every human heart. Unfortunately, so many of us are under the delusion that the line between good and evil runs between us and them. me and my tribe, good, everybody who disagrees with us, bad. That's why we have such a destructive tribalism and tribal warfare around he world, especially here in the U.S. I thank you, my honorable sir for stopping by and keeping in touch. You're a gentle, beautiful soul, my brother.

Yep! so true! : "In my most evil moments I was convinced that I was doing good, and I was well supplied with systematic arguments. It was only when I lay there on rotting prison straw that I sensed within myself the first stirrings of good. Gradually it was disclosed to me that the line separating good and evil passes not through states, nor between classes, nor between political parties either—but right through every human heart—and through all human hearts. . . . http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/08/04/AR2008080401822_pf.html
Bijan Pirnia replied:
Dearest Lena, I'm most grateful for your keen insight, your profundity, and above all your integrity. I too have experienced what you so eloquently described in the above comment. Like everybody else, I too have experienced the stirrings of evil within me. That is where free will comes in. I don't think we can banish evil from our hearts completely; but through the exercise of free will we can keep it at bay. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I hope you will continue to do so.
