(PERSONAL MANIFESTO) For me, photography is not a hobby or pastime. It is truly a passion, a way of life, and a calling. It is the sine qua non of my existence. I define passion as A FIRE THAT BURNS IN YOUR HEART AND GIVES MEANING, PURPOSE, AND DIRECTION TO YOUR LIFE. It is also a vision that no one can see but you. Through photography I communicate my feelings and depict how I see beauty. Nature photography affords me the opportunity to engage with landscape at profoundly emotional and intimate levels. To paraphrase the legendary photographer, Ansel Adams, when I look at the beauties and masterpieces of nature, I see something that is not...

Another splendid work! I especially like the colors and the composition that welcome me to come into this place! LF
Bijan Pirnia replied:
I hope some day the wind blows you to our neck of the woods. If so, I'd be glad to show you where this glorious place is so that you can take pictures to your heart's delight. It'll be the music of your heart.

Incredible autumn capture, Bijan...what a glorious place to lose yourself in. f/l
Bijan Pirnia replied:
I totally agree, dear friend. Nature is the place in which I lose myself and at the same time find myself. I surrender to that ineffable peace and tranquility that words can never describe. I also find myself because I feel as if I have come home. I feel the presence of a transcendent reality that is completely outside the narrow confines of the intellect. The most valuable lesson I have learned through many years of personal experiences was most eloquently expressed by Saint Augustine centuries ago : "Oh Lord, thou hast made us for thyself. Our hearts will not rest until they rest in thee."
