Such bloodshed…well what’s new ? Wonderful romantic image of a by gone barbaric era
Bijan Pirnia replied:
Greetings to lady beautiful, the one 'n only, yes, my dear LaVonne, I do agree. It was the time of The Civil War, lynching of black Americans, outlaws, gunslingers, the slaughering of navtive Americans and much more seneless bloodshed. It was a barbaric era, as you said; but there were also very bright spots such as women's suffrage, The Transcendental movement, Henry David Thoreau, Ralph Waldo Emerson, William James, the invention of electricity and telephone, and many more great things. We just have to take the good with the bad. Such is the human condition, as I'm sure you know. sweet of you to stop by and keep in touch, dear friend.
