Description
A gnarled and weathered dead tree root lies prominently in a grassy, open landscape under a vast, cloudy sky. The roots of the fallen tree spread out elegantly, seeming to reach for the surrounding natural beauty of rolling hills and a remote horizon.
Bristlecone Pine area, Windy Ridge, Pike National Forest, Colorado
It is universally true that the world is precisely a reflection of who or what we are inside. Beauty is NOT out there. It's in human soul or mind or consciousness. If the world-renowned American author Mark Twain were here, he would agree. He said, "YOUR EYES ARE USELSS WHEN YOUR MIND IS BLIND." We can replace the word mind with soul, and it would mean the same thing.
There's fundamental difference between lookign and seeing. We look at the world with our eyes, but see it with our souls or minds or consciousness. In truth, our eyes DO NOT see anything. All they do is transfer light to our minds through the optical nerve in the form of electric signals. It is the mind that perceives the world, not the eyes. It was for the same reason that Henry David Thoreau said, "IT'S NOT WHAT YOU LOOK AT THAT MATTERS. IT'S WHAT YOU SEE." Again, you look at the world with your eyes, but see it with your soul.

So true dear Bijan ! There is such beauty and a useful purpose for everything made by God …even in death this trees roots provide shelter and help keep the soil from blowing away so other life can grow there…and what is beauty anyway but the wonder of something wonderful…which may are blind to….whew ! You got me going Bijan ! X
Bijan Pirnia replied:
Well, beautiful friend, I love the way in which I "GET YOU GOING." Because when I get you going, you share your profound thoughts and reveal more of your gentle, beautiful soul. So, please do me a big favor and keep going. DO NOT STOP. I would like that very much. I agree with everything you wrote here. From death comes new life. Such is the mechanics of creation : coming and going, dying and being born, appearing and disappearing. That is how things are renewed. Please grace my gallery with your visits again 'n again, would you?
