ice sculpting festival in the mountain town of Cripple Creek on the southwest flank of Pikes Peak, Colorado.
Each year in February, many artists from around the U.S. come to Cripple Creek to showcase their talents when they carve beautiful statues out of blocks of ice on the main street in downtown. This sculpture shows Poseidon, the Greek god of the sea holding his famous trident.
