Description
naturally-shaped ice formation on North Cheyenne Creek, Colorado Springs, Colorado
If you have a burning desire to ask me the question everybody else has many times, the answer is yes; I did put the scrub oak leaf in there before taking the shot. I picked it up off the ground next to the creek. I wanted it to serve as the center of attention or the focal point in order to draw the viewer's eyes into the image. As soon as you clicked on the image and opened it, you noticed the leaf, didn't you? So, you see, it works. This is also a typical example of the juxtaposition of warm and cool colors : orange and blue.

WOW. Truly Amazing vision! Only an Artist can see such a beauty in small things around us! BRAVO!
Bijan Pirnia replied:
Beauty is all around us. All we need to do is look with the eye of the spirit. I started my photography career many years ago when I was a runny-nose, stupid teenager. I still remember how enamored I was of a few blades of grass. I saw so much beauty in them.

This is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen!!!! L/F
Bijan Pirnia replied:
I absolutely love ice formations. They're such an inexhaustible source of abstract, artistic photography. During the Winter months, I walk along the creeks around here for hours looking for ice to shoot.
